Mate for tourists
This is the typical touristic mate gourd, used for drinking mate. It is common to see calabash [a vine grown for its fruit] gourds. The gourd is known as a mate or a guampa. You can read the first posting I did about Mate here.

Go check out this site: LandingPadBa.com if you didn’t already have checked it out. Since July 1st, they started a series of contests to win free stuff here in Buenos Aires. These promotions will be running continuously throughout the month of July. Good luck!
Some folks playing chess at the Feria de Plaza Francia [Recoleta Fair]. If you want to learn more about the feria, click here.

This is the 2nd picture where I show you one of our pet. Her name is Lilu and she’s the only female in the group.

I was unable to find any related information about this statue located in the botanical garden of Buenos Aires. If anyone has some information to share, that’d be great. Thanks! :=)

A refreshing peek at the surroundings of Bariloche [foothills of the Andes, Patagonia], while we have a very rainy weather in Buenos Aires.

Our dear companion Toti cat. This is sort of unusual in BA daily, but once in a while I find it nice to show him to you. I’ll post pictures of the other 2 [yes we have 2 other cats ;=)] later this week.

Happy week-end to everyone!

It should have been called empty, but in my case I went for almost empty. Even though in a place like this one [we're in the north of Argentina, not far from the Bolivian border], the place’s called Salinas Grandes, it is hard to see lots of humans gathered around this salt desert. Emptiness, quietness and beauty describe this part of the country. This is a must-to-see spot for those who come visit Argentina.

I saw this today while browsing others photoblogs from the City Daily Photo community that one talented blogger and photographer from Tehran went missing since June 17th. With all the uproar taking place in his country, the situation is critical and his missing worrisome. Hope he’s ok and that he’ll be back soon!

..and I like it! It feels sooo good. I like winter in general more than summer, especially here in Argentina Buenos Aires [Gracias Fabian, tenes razon jajaja] where summer is just too humid and stifling.
