Casa Museo Sarmiento

The house is located on the Rio Sarmiento, there lived the former Argentine president Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. The house is a museum and library. According to the Municipality of Tigre, which was in charge of building the the glass structure around it in order to protect it from the inclemencies of the weather and the passing of time.

La Giralda and its churros

La Giralda, with its marble tables add wooden chairs, serves churros and hot chocolate. They are supposed to be the best in town. Very questionable as the last time I went to La Giralda, the churros weren't fresh and a bit dry.

Occupying an entire city block, this market was built in 1897 by Juan Antonio Buschiazzo, the same Italian-born Argentine architect who designed the Recoleta Cemetery. Locals shop here for fresh produce, cheese and meat.
