Stencil_Recoleta

Another stencil, photo taken above the Recoleta cultural center as yesterday night shot. Wikipedia’s description of stencil is: Stencils are used to create sharp-edged paintings of the desired image, by applying paint on the surface with the cut-out, leaving a painting of that shape on the underlying surface. Cette photo de pochoir a été prise sur la terrasse du centre culturel de Recoleta. La description qu’en donne Wikipedia est la suivante: Le pochoir, « feuille de carton ou de métal découpée, pour colorier avec une brosse, le dessin ayant le contour de la découpure », apparaît dans le Larousse en 1874. La technique du pochoir est utilisée depuis des siècles et ce, à toutes fins (décorative, industrielle, technique, artistique, politique, etc.).
